Keracon 2023 at Chandigarh was an annual meet of corneal surgeons of India. Corneal transplants and refractive procedures like Lasik and phakic lens implants were discussed. National and international stalwarts in the field of Cornea attended the meet . Personally, I had an opportunity to present our work in deep anterior lamellar keratoplasty results over the last 10 long years and discuss ICL in the meet. Live surgeries did add an additional advantage to the meet . SN alumni meet added a cherry to the overall fantastic 3 days spent at Chandigarh 🌹

Tenth National meeting of cornea society of India took place at J W Marriott, Mumbai. National and international reputation corneal surgeons attended the meeting and had an lots of brainstorming discussions on the cornea and its newer surgical and medical treatment modalities. Personally, I was happy to be a part of this meeting and spoke on endothelial keratoplasty and further refinements so as to benefit patients and faster visual rehabilitation. We could also present our data of comparison of LASIK v/s ICL for refractive correction in moderate to high myopia, which was done at SHRI KRISHNA NETRALAYA. I was happy to listen to various stalwarts in cornea and discuss with them newer research in keratoplasty and refractive solutions. Thanx, Dr. Quresh Maskati and Dr. Nikhil Gokhale, for all the efforts as LOC to organize the scientific extravaganza. Kudos to Dr. Rajesh Fogla and Dr. Geetha Iyer for taking CSI – cornea society of India to this level, wherein it’s looked at worldwide with lots of respect and admiration. Meeting the gang of Sankar Netralaya co-fellows and knowing the newer generation was the icing on the cake.
MOSCON 2023 @ Kolhapur
Annual meet of Maharashtra Ophthalmic Association at kolhapur in october last week was fantastic time to discuss ophthalmology ,present papers and deliver talk on varied topics of cornea ,catarct and refractive procedures.in addition it was time to meet old friends and make new ones and to know newer things in the field of Ophthalmology .Visiting Shivaji University for an Walkathon was mesmerising .OPL -Ophthalmic premier league was the show stopper as an last day, last show and big time crowd puller .Thanks Dr.Sanjay Rasal , Dr.Santosh Bhide ,Santosh Agrawal ,Vardhaman Kankaria ,Dr.Manoj Khatri and Dr.Suhas Sonawne for all the good times . Kolhapur visit cannot be complete without seeking blessings of goddess MAHALAKSHMI . Icing on th cake was terrific performance of Aurangabad Ophthalmic Association group performance in the cultural night
